- Hard water prevents soaps and shampoos from lathering. Producing enough lather while taking a bath can become an arduous task causing you to use more soaps and shampoos.
- The impurities in hard water can prevent the soap deposits on your skin from being thoroughly washed. Ultimately, the skin is left feeling dry and dehydrated. Hard water also disturbs the natural mechanism of your body to moisturize itself as the soapy residue may clog the pores. When natural body oils find no way of escaping, pimples, and acne form on your skin.
- The iron, calcium, and magnesium in hard water can cause free radical formation on your skin. These can lead to breakage of collagen, which is known for keeping the skin intact. Subsequently, the skin can look sagged and wrinkly.
